Last week we had this Indonesian Cuisine laboratory. We made two dishes, one was main dish and the other one was some sort of a dessert. Our group made this sauteed chicken with so many spices and herbs and all and guess what? we failed. haha! Our instructor said we did not follow the procedure very well that's why our chicken menu ended up really bad and what was left that you can taste was its spiciness only, nothing more, when it should be something tasteful and blah blah blah.
But anyway, there's only one thing you really have to know when eating Indonesian Cuisine-it's SPICY!
So, brace your self before eating such especially to those who love to eat and explore different cuisines. Anyway, here's the pictures taken during the laboratory. Let me introduce to you my classmates and friends. ^___^
*here's a pic of Janine, Aiko and Dawn Yvonne. They're from Casey's group and what they're preparing was the mixed fresh fruit salad.
Chef Ryan with Casey on the left and Neil on the right.
Casey was preparing some kind of fresh fruit salads (Indonesian style) of course. It was mixed of..I can't remember anymore. haha!
Chef Ryan,(he's our Culinary Arts instructor)..he's really a good chef, I remembered he made us (last year) his original recipe, it was ground meat with mango and all..it was really yummy!!! He's also one of the nicest instructor in the school and very approachable, friendly and a happy person. :)
My Group mates ^_^
Blair and Neil preparing everything while I'm taking pictures. haha!
These are my group mates, I forgot the name of our leader, she's the first from the left, and Princess, Shar2, Blair and Neil at the back. ^_^
This is Neil and Blair reading the recipe (when they're supposed to familiarized it in the first place, no cheating sana pero in the lab, this is not possible. haha)
They're preparing the spices needed for the sauté.
"The other group"
-can you notice, no matter how busy they are they can still managed to paused and posed, and smile when they noticed me taking pictures of them? haha!
here we go, finally cooking the chicken with the burn spices. haha!
And that's it. that's the Indonesian Cuisine laboratory period. This Friday, we'll cook the Greek Cuisine. And guess what? we got the most expensive recipe, it's Shrimp Pasta with Cognac and something. ^_^ crossing my fingers this time. We're praying we can make through with it. ^__^ Good luck to us ^_^
Yesterday I was not able to check my emails due to some issues :( I came home late and was so tired so I decided to just drop off everything I planned for the rest of the night, even my report the next morning (today). Now, I have class at 9am and it's 7:47 in the morning here (Philippine time) but I'm having second thought of going to school because I know for sure that today will just another boring day for me, listen to some discussions, blah blah blah..ugh! But for what it's worth, I'll try to catch up. ^__^ Now, I need to go back to sleep first...^__^ I'm done here. ^__^ to everyone who followed me..thank you!!! have great evening and good day!!!♥
A photograph of who I came to watched Transformers"The Revenge Of The Fallen" and Transformers"Dark Of The Moon" Transformers 2, I came to watched with them:
I don't know why I wanna share this on blog when I only have like few followers here, maybe because I enjoyed posting and receiving comments even if there's only one person, two or three or four or five who would bother to check it out, read and leave comments :) It's you know, the pleasure of posting is worth wasting my time with this one. Anyway, so much for an introduction. here's a photo of my brother and my niece who has this not exactly the same projection but, just that, I really find it cute putting it together. For sure once he see this pic, he'll be furious, because he didn't know I uploaded this using his phone. haha
check it out..
A few days ago, my sister took this pic just for updates (for us) of my niece to her school life in the city. As she tagged me the pic, she asked me if I recognized who she looked like. At first, I thought, she looked like her dad, but it's not. Only then that I realized that, once, I uploaded a pic of my brother without him knowing it, I even used his phone and posted it privately on fb that has the same with my niece's. Then, I searched for the pic and I put it together. tada! hush hush friends!!! He doesn't have a blog, so, I'm still safe. hehe..ciao!
When it's weekend, my usual wake up call is 9-10am, often times-11am. Now, I woke up around 10.30 and just finished eating. What's wrong here is that, I'm supposed to wake up around 6.30 everyday so I can take my breakfast at 7, snack at 9 and lunch at 11.30, now, what's happening is that my breakfast and lunch and snack is 3-in-1. Oh My! how am I supposed to gain weight if it continues like this? Maybe working out is really not that effective or maybe I'm just too lazy to discipline myself. what to do? hmm..
Like what I did yesterday, I just watched "City Hunter" (it's a korean series) for 2hours and after watched another movie "Every Child Is Special", so far, second of the best movie I've ever seen :) (3 Idiots is still on top of my list). I wanted to write a review about the movie, but I'm afraid I will just mess it up. I'm really bad at writing anything, I can't organize my thoughts and can't write it in order. sucks! whatever, anyway, maybe when I'm in the mood..later? You see? I always jump from topic to another! this is really sickening! ^_^
Now, I'm having coffee my while listening to some kind of sad love songs early in the afternoon :) To the rest of you. Have a great evening and good day ^___^
this is me when I was 3 or 4. can't remember exactly. hehe
Mai (at the center) @16
(L-R) Melanie and Mai @13
(L-R) Mitch @16, Mai @17
now ^_^ @ 26
Now, this is how I look, I really don't think there's a difference, although, the picture when I was 3 or 4 years old was undeniably far from the rest. haha! I look like a Rugby girl or some kind of a gang kid. lol. ^_^
Now, I grew up thin and petite :) or should I say, I never grew up at all after high school? oh! this is sickening :D
Today will be our fourth day-working out. Several rules should be followed according to our instructor..take a look:
Eat before and after working out.<---this never happened, I don't get hungry that easily.
Do not limit your eating. Eat foods with protein, less carbohydrates, blah blah blah.<-----even if I don't, I have less appetite compared with anybody.
Do not stay up late. <-------this is the hardest of them all. :(
I can't remember the rest :)
Now, I'm wondering, what will happen a month after our workout?
Hazelaine Suezo a.k.a Chingee (mostly by friends), Chik (for Nico) and Chai (for me).
My first impression of her: Ang arte! ma.make up! sobra! whenever there's a chance, (mind you, even during in the middle of the class or exams) nagrretouch! imagine that?.. haha. But whatever..she can still managed to smile kahit napapagalitan na, which makes her annoyingly awesome. haha!
My impression later: tiresome yet lovable. She's someone who never gets tired of smiling and laughing no matter how much pain she's carrying. Mind you again, no matter how maarte she is, she can eat anything from the cheapest to the most expensive food and can easily get along with people really well. Even though she's very loquacious, we still love her and we missed her so much now that she studied away from us. We hope she'll do good this time. haha!
Anyway, last time we went to watch TRANSFORMERS, I mean, before we watched the movie, we ate first at Greenwich and made this video. ^_^ enjoy!
-greetings from everyone Chingee ^_^ and take care of yourself always. keep in touch and do well in your studies (this time). hehe! looking forward to see you again. ^_^ mwuah!
And don't forget to update us with you life, aye aye?! okay! ciao!!!
About two years ago, we would spent our time at Gaston Park, (it is a park surrounded with Bermuda grass) practicing flairtending for our individual and dual presentation in which we're expected to "flair bartending" in both mock tail and cocktail mixing. During those time, we met this particular boy. He's maybe around 10 years old. He became our errand boy, he do this and that, buy these and those and also became a keeper of our stuffs (broken bottles in peculiar), he threw our garbage and in return we would give like 5php or 10. Often times also, we asked him to buy empty bottles and water. I don't know why he's okay with that, but one thing for sure-he enjoyed being with us. Maybe also because he's bored or something, he had no one to play with, he's stuck watching their little place selling candies and cigarettes along the streets with her mother. And so, he would do every thing for the love of having just fun even for a short period of time.
-kid in yellow-
-the only kid in the group-
Every moment we had practice, he'll just stand and watched us do our thing, observing and somehow learning. At times when we're having break, he would borrow our things and practice for himself. It's annoying actually when he go overboard, like, although with permissions, touch our things and all. But seeing him really tried so hard to blend in, it weakens me. He's just a kid, and I do understand that all he ever wanted was to have fun and have friends..so, that's it. We just let him do and practiced that whole time we're there..
- don't have a picture of him practicing 2 years ago, but I'm telling you, he's so good now. ^___^
there are students looking at him there but I only get the focus on him, so, I can't proved you that every one's looking at him. haha!
he's tossing 3 bottles (2 wooden bottles and 1 breakable)
he really amazed me.
Now, every time I stopped by on their post, it makes me smile..and wished that someday, he'll be someone he really wanted him to be. And I wish every street kids the same way. Although, I'm not really sure if he goes to school or not, but, still. I wished him the same. He's a good kid, and I wished him nothing but the best :)
I just got home from my Culinary Arts (Indonesian Cuisine) subject today and mind you, you can never imagine how tired I am. My head is in pain, my feet, it's killing me. I don't know what to do. No! I can't decide what to do. I don't know if I'm hungry or thirsty or both? I wanna sleep but I can't. I have commitments today :( ugh! I just need a hug T_T -joke ^_^ later I will share to you about this kid two years ago who used to be our "runner" when we were practicing flairtending at Gaston Park. He was kind of irritating then but when I saw him today, we're impressed, he'e doing flairtending and he's really good for a kid like him. I can't even do what he just did this morning. that's it.
