Wedding.Chill.Dinner and a Stranger.

I miss you guys! I'm so sorry about yesterday. I have no idea about that Josh Dennis and I wasn't playing with my phone =p I think it was my friend who mistakenly published that when he installed Blogger app in my phone :)

But anyway, no challenge today because I chose to share my yesterday. ^_^ So, what's with yesterday?

We went to a friend's wedding. oh! While on a wedding, a lot of things were running through my mind. Mostly about my cousin's (this July) and my brother's upcoming wedding this Nov. I'm a little curious with everything-esp. the Bride's makeup! ^_^

But anyway, you'll going to be the judge of everything-courtesy of me, of course. For now, I'm sharing to you my friend's wedding..(it was just a very simple wedding and the reception was held at the bride's residence)

..We're the supposed to be usherettes and supposed to be in the church half an hour before the ceremony for briefings and blah blah blah but unfortunately, we're late! HAHA. When we arrived in the church, we wanted so much to hide and just disappear but shh, glad to see the bride was still inside the car,
Rhel (bride)
so meaning, we're not really that late, we just missed the briefing and we're not able to do our part as usherettes-to assist.

To start the wedding, let me introduce..except Grace (since she's part of the entourage), the USHERETTES-late!!! HAHA!
Janine-Grace-Matet-Ailyn
Entourage!!!
little brides :)
and then, Janine and Matet with their unbeatable plastic cellophane!!!
sorry ladies :D love you both ^_^
Exchanging vows! Didn't get a close up shots since the Priest was so strict. lol. he hates to see photographers around the altar. hmp! Plus, I'm so small to compete with the other photographers-char! hahaha!
etc.
While the rest of the people were so busy..

My friends were busy doing something as well :)
A card for the newly wed :)
retouch and what's that Matet? whispering???
Finally! The newly wed..

Newly wed with..
Parents

where am I? oh! I was the one who took the photo. too bad huh? :(

After the wedding ceremony..
Matet (after eating) left early for work..
with her x. haha!
Just before we left..
..on the way home, we stop for a while.
-home? nope, we decided to chill for a while at Kyla's Bistro..
we had few beers :D

then this guy from a distance caught my attention..I tried to steal one photo from him (I actually  took one shot after all) and my heart stop when he looked at him, I was so scared he'd be mad since he glared at me. HAHA! but whatever..here's the pic.
that's him! haha!
Can you see the photo clearly? Hehe. cute isn't he? but he seem snob. lol. and he's really scary, because after we took the shot he started staring at us. oh. scary! haha!

Anyway. since Grace decided to left home early as well and Janine and I were hungry, we had a quick stop at KFC for dinner :)
and then went home.

What a nice Saturday with friends :)

What did you do yesterday by the way?

I will resume my everyday challenge tomorrow.

xoxo :)

It's Fun To Be With Them :D

Whoa. I miss posting pics with my classmates. Ever since the second semester, we've been busy with OJT requirements and OJT itself and so we find it hard to be together and have fun together, not until last Wednesday plus last Wednesday :D

Finally OJT's from Cagayan de Oro, Cebu City and Manila City meet all at once :D

Like I mentioned in my previous post, we're kinda busy for our graduation application and clearance-blah blah blah. Lots of papers to be sign, fill and answer. sucks!

Like this one?
That's our application for graduation. But see that paper on the top left? Yeah. We need to answer that one before the Guidance sign our application. Mind you! We did not answer 1 paper only but I guess it was around 5 with lots of questions about self assessment, school activities satisfactory and much more and I'm telling you! maybe, 2/10 only answered it seriously, mm..that makes it 3/10 including me, btw :)
But anyway, this was 2 weeks ago during HRM day. There were activities, competition but since I did not bring with me my camera, I can let you show what happened really. In these photos (on the right side), we're waiting for the "Flairtending" competition to start. Unlike last year's event, I'd say, this year was sort of a failure because only few numbers of students were there to participate. Sad, but true.
Pics on the left was taken during proper competition in flairtending. That was a good spot for us because we can see the whole performance thing-flawlessly. Too bad, again, to say that I didn't managed to even record one performance. Oh! no. first time :(

Another pics were taken during snack time :D This was after the event. We didn't wait for announcement of winners, instead, we straight ahead to McDo to eat. yay! I only had coffee and the rest had their McFloat :D
 Outside McDo :)

-going home ^_^

And then last Wednesday during our Symposium. ^_^

Another food trip..get to know them :)
this time @ GREENWICH :)
Thanks!
Oh! If you wanna see an old post/s about them, check it out here :) since July, 2011..^_^
Things we do during class :) Laughter is the best medicine :D and another Greenwich post :)
See you next week! ^_^

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS (Kumbira Day 2 & 3-final day)

Isn't that a good news? ^___^

Anyway, here's what happened for the last two days..

Most Tiring Day Ever :(KUMBIRA DAY 1):

Beware of Misconceptions.Ü *MERELY*JÜST4FÜN*

Hello Bloggers, Readers and Visitors :)

Today is day 1 of Kumbira. Kumbira is a professional and student culinary show and live competition held in Cagayan de OroMindanaoPhilippines. It is the largest culinary event in Mindanao, lasting for three days.

As a Hotel and Restaurant Management student, we are tasked to assist the event for 3 days, also, this is in relation to our subject "EVENTS MANAGEMENT" and blah blah blah..

Whoa! As much as I wanna share to you all the things I did today, I can't. I'm too lazy to do that now. I'm so tired. My feet, my legs, my back are in pain :( huhu..I need a hug :( We've been standing from 7.30a-1.30p (I guess or more) because we are marshalls. We were guarding foyer 2 area where FILIPINO Carving in both professionals and students category are being held-live. So, we gotta control the crowd. As for me, of course, I did what I have to do. But guess what? I was even told I was snob and strict just because I did not allow them (the viewers, watchers) to enter the area, huh? duh. It's not like it was a restricted area actually, they're not just supposed to be there. that's it. I'm just following instructions. Was it really that hard to comprehend or what? It really pissed me off. Big time! But of course, I can't tell them I'm feeling that way. Part of being in a hospitality industry, I need not to show negative expressions, you know. I have to smile even if everything hurts. Life is like that. Life is mean. It's unfair. That's reality. Right? ^_^

But anyway (again),  I had fun today. And so, just a sneak peak of today's event =)) hope you'll have fun-too! =))
I will share to you everything after the event, maybe.Ü

Here are some of the finished products (took these randomly) of the live competition in food carving.

Break Time @ Greenwich

 *LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE*

After our class Events Management today, Janine, Aiko, Princess, Dawn, Rhams, Estel, Mona and Myself decided to grab a bite at the store fronting our school. When we get there, it's full.

Rhams then said "hey! let's go to Greenwhich instead, there's a P299.00 good for two pizzas (not aware what size) already, we can split it out and contribute maybe 20-30 pesos only. And we all agreed.

Inside greenwich, we realize it's not a family size pizza (double-too small for us) and valid for take out only. So, we ended up ordering separately but with the same items-P59.00 (Pizza, spag and drinks)

what do you call this? -waiting number? whatever? haha!

OPEN SESAME

*TREAT*

I was cleaning up our drive E this evening when I came across with this video I took a few months ago. This was the time when my brother took us out (with cousins) for dinner and movie (Fast 5). This is a footage of Jojo (my sisters' boyfriend) TRYING to open up a SOLA bottle @ Yellow Cab..

..see what happened

He wanted me stop recording because he felt humiliated already. HAHA!

By the way, regarding this post In The Name Of Love, I already have the pictures from Foto Loco CDO (the official photographer of my friend's wedding) but can't find the video. So, maybe I will update the post as soon as the video is available already :)
thank you :)

The Island Paradise Province of Bohol

TRAVEL and FUN

The province is a popular tourist destination with its beaches and resorts. The Chocolate Hills, numerous mounds of limestone formation, is the most popular attraction. Panglao Island, located just southwest of Tagbilaran City, is famous for its diving locations and routinely listed as one of the top ten diving locations in the world. Numerous tourist resorts dot the southern beaches and cater to divers from around the world. ThePhilippine Tarsier, considered the second-smallest primate in the world, is indigenous to the island.
soucre: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohol

I've been there once only, maybe two years ago. I was really excited to see the TARSIER..but when we arrived there, around 5 or 6am in the morning it was raining..all the excitement was ruined the moment I stepped down from the ship. what? how can I ever enjoy the tour when the weather is like this? oh! for the love of god! why rain now? :(
We proceeded directly to Bohol Plaza for our breakfast and we checked in. Bohol Plaza was located on the top, over looking Panglao Island..ugh! It was heaven. lol..^_^ No! seriously, the view was killing me..right after we refreshed ourselves, we went to different locations..(that time, I'm no longer in the mood..all I wanna do was to sleep in the bus, plus the tour guide was so noisy..it irritates me) we stopped to some historical landmarks but me and my friend (Janine) decided not to go out anymore. We don't wanna get wet, you know? the sad part was..I wasn't able to take photos of the places we've been to :( My day was ruined with the rain :(
Pics here..

This photo was taken on an early morning..leaving Bohol mode. ^_^ I wasn't able to take much pictures of the hotel because after the party on that night we arrived, I was tired and decided to sleep early and ignored the "night swimming" activity. lol
Inside Baclayon Church
The Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Baclayon is considered to be one of the oldest churches in the Philippines. It is one of the best preserved Jesuit build churches in the region, although in the 19th century, the Augustinian Recollects added a modern facade and a number of stone buildings that now surround the church.
Loboc River Cruise
My best experience in Bohol was the river cruise..the food was yum yum yum! can't get enough of it. Plus, lots of tourist you can see around cruising..^_^
Note: you can't can't find a photo of me in Bohol's most proud "Chocolate Hills" because I stayed in the bus the whole time. duh! besides, why waste my time going up when I can see the scenery along the way? lol. Anyway, sorry about that. Also, as much as I wanted to take that man made forest they have, I can't because we did not stop there! hmp!
Cute cute cute Tarsier! uggggh!
Note: When taking a pic of a Tarsier, make sure your flash is turned off. gets?
Last stop! mall mall mall! shop shop shop! ^_^
Guess what?! this was the worst part of the trip, haha..we're scolded by our Instructor. We're late and the bus was waiting like a few minutes..lol. whatever! ^____^
that's it..^___^

Queen City of the South (CEBU CITY)

TRAVEL and FUN
-the gate away to a thousand journeys :)

I've been in Cebu City three times. The first two was a class tour :) We've been to different historical places, dine and stayed at fancy hotel-Marriott.

Mactan Cebu, Taoist Temple and The Walk (IT Park) :D
Pics from our room, at Plantation Bay, best baby back ribs we ever tasted bought at Casa Verde restaurant, Ayala and not-to be tried again ever "Edge Coaster" at  Crown  Regency Hotel.
food trips around Cebu ^_^
Second visit was again a class tour but we just dropped by there from Bohol. Luckily, that was during Sinulog Festival and so we asked our Instructor if we could stay for the festival and we're so happy that he agreed and re-booked our ticket and unfortunately, no more tourist available and so we had no choice but to take the economy (side bed, whatever!) worst experienced ever. We had to deal with the non-air-conditioned accommodation plus not to mention the unwanted scent all over the place and the cries of the babies near by :( with so many noisy folks! disaster! anyways..
most tiring day ever!
During this day, all we wanted is to give up already. We walked around the city because almost all of the highways were blocked due to the parade..of course! haha! but you know, what's unbearable was the crowds. They're uncontrollable..I was even thinking, OMG! maybe it's my end now, lol-you know..stampede. haha! so stupid of me to even think about that aye?! But anyway..here's another one.
SM mall, Ayala Mall (outside, take after the fireworks display) and Cebu Street dancing..^_^
Leaving Cebu: see where we sleeping? haha! Note: never book on economy class :D in our case, we had no choice because we need to catch up with our classes so we took it. later did we realized it was a mistake. lol..or much better not to go home the day after Sinulog. It's too crowded :(

Anyway, the third time I went to Cebu was last April, from Manila..I stayed only overnight over at my friend's house. hehe..^_^ no photo :D

Culinary Arts (Greek Cuisine)

Beware of Misconceptions.Ü *MERELY*JÜST4FÜN*

Last Friday our group prepared the "Garithomakaronatha" or Greek Style Shrimp Pasta. Its main ingredients are pasta (precooked), prawns, olive oil, tomato sauce, butter, mustard, brandy, parsley, grated carrots, onions and garlic.

mise-en-place

*prawns (peeled off and washed with running water
*tomato sauce
*brandy
*grated carrots
*mustard
*olive oil
*butter
*parsley
*onions (finely chopped)
*garlic (sliced)
*pinch of salt

(Blair) In an olive oil sauteed each side of the prawns. Later then he added the butter, spices, brandy (when it completely evaporated), grated carrots, mustard and mustard, parsley then is optional. Anyway, this is not the exact procedure, I just familiarized the way how we actually did it.
tada! these are the products we made. the spaghetti was ours (group 1). The other foods were from the other groups, there was Carbonara and the rest I can't remember anymore. (sorry..^_^)
It tasteless actually, I mean, all you can taste was it's sourness and a little bit of alcohol, so with the rest of the products. oh! wait! there was this yummy chicken but unfortunately I wasn't able to take a picture of it. I went outside when they presented it and when I went back-it's gone! my classmates were really something, aren't they? :D know why? because we spent a lot for that and the only way we can get it back is to eat it all. By then, we won't feel bad about our money. hehe ^_^
these pics were taken during the preparation. still, same as the last time we had that laboratory, my classmates can't really get enough of their faces in every photographs. Whenever they sense that someone's taking them a photo they'll pause for a while and "SMILE" ..^_______________^
-that's why as much as possible, anytime, anywhere I would bring Digital Camera with me to take those happy moments. In this way, we can freeze our time and get back into it whenever we want to. Isn't that great?! ^___^

The miscellaneous..^_________________________________________^

-photos above are taken before and after ^_^ and a video of one group cleaning up..check it out and enjoy! this is a 3minutes video footage with lots and lots of us having fun while cleaning up. Some I tricked them that I'm taking them a photo but instead I'm recording it. haha! You will really know in this footage how they loved to smile. ^__^
And that's it! I hope you had fun reading and watching! till next time :D
