TRAVEL and FUN

This place has been my home for 12 years. I grew up in this province, finished my primary and secondary education here. Whenever I have time and "money" of course, I go home just to relax and unwind. sosyal! haha! What I loved most in this place are the beaches, the one that you could never find in the city :D besides, my sanctuary is here. hehe ^_^ 

Last October (Lanzones Festival) I brought Janine with me for two days stay. We tour around by motorcycle and mind you! She's the type who does not appreciate beaches that much..she's more on malls and mountain views..maybe because, she's not a swimmer or whatever, but she really was amazed with the beauty of one the most visited place in the province of Camiguin.."The White Island" anyway..take a look ^_^

Janine's first time in Camiguin Island :D

we were able to catch up I'm not sure if first or second trip, all I know was that when we arrived to the place we went directly to the beach :D

It's not the white sand beach yet,  but it's just a regular beach with lots and lots of rocks but very clear :D

In this pic, you can see Janine on the upper left, that was taken at "J&B fish pen" next was at the port, then Sunken Cemetery and Walkway (station of the cross)

this is about 500-700meters away from the house (where we stayed). lol..

Usually, during weekend, this is the most crowded area-where people (family and friends) have their picnics 

and the closest place of my aunt's cottage.

can you see the pic on the upper left with "is that a speed boat?" lol. hehe..that's the Paras Beach Resort, from their we rented a boat to white Island ^_^, White Island is a 10-15minutes (by boat) ride from the resort. Can you see the sea water? Nice isn't it? You noticed the color? ugh! mind you! it's more fascinating than this photo. ^_^

Even though I grew up from this Island, honestly, that was my first time to come to that place. AWESOME!

we came here around 2 or 3pm in the afternoon, imagine how hot the sun was at that moment? yet, it all worth it! we were exhausted but it can never compared to the excitement we felt when we reach the Island..^_^

I love this place because it's quiet, I mean, Camiguin Island is a very quiet province but this area, you can have all the privacy you want. Plus, I love the rocks..the huge one. we used to jump over from the top..scary but fun ^_^

Oh! Actually, it was kinda far from the beach I mentioned earlier but then again, that what makes it more quiet. People find it tiring to go all the way there through walking so..that's it. ^_^

When everyone is cramming for exams, I do blogging ^_^

I do blogging not because I'm genius, I know all the lessons  already and I'm confident that I can answer all the questions but it's because no matter how hard I studied my notes, it's useless. More often, the more I studied, the more I get disappointed because most of the things I studied do not come out on the exams :( 

so, that's it..

After I finished my exams (which I know for sure, didn't go out well)..I took all the opportunities to take photos of my classmates who were still answering. let's take a look of their faces :D

BLAST FROM THE PAST
Note: I was bored and decided to post pics from my high school friends. take a look, who do you think changed the most?
I posted this photo already a few days ago in my post "DECADES" where I featured myself growing up..now, let's see where are these girls now after 9years..^_^
This was taken September of 2001. As you can observe on the photo, we're wearing our uniform in CAT (Citizenship Advancement Training), just because, this was after our drill presentation :)
Get to know them..let's start from the back..left to right..

-Esper 
*the top student of our circle. 
-Venus (the one wearing the cap)
 *the most shy and sensitive person I've ever known.

My circle in high school: of course, we parted ways after graduation. Esper and Margie stayed at our province and chose to finished their college there. Esper took up Computer Science while Margie chose Education major in General Science. Mielyn was an Accountancy graduate, I guess? hehe..I'm not too sure, among the others, she's the only one I didn't keep in touch with throughout college days. While and Anita and Venus decided to pursue their studies at Cebu City, Venus took up Mass Communication and Anita enrolled BS Commerce but later she (Anita) dropped out of school and went back to our province. As for me, in case you're wondering why I'm still studying when the rest of my friends already have their careers maybe 4 or 5 years ago. That's is because, I've been shifting and transferring from one school to the other. On my first year in college I took up engineering and education on following year then Chemistry where I lasted for 5 semesters but chose to dropped out once again and finally settled myself in Hotel and Restaurant Management and I'm so proud to say that I'm on my last term already. yey! ^_^
For what it's worth, let's see where are my girl-friends now..? what happened to them after 9 years? are they married? have kids already? where are they? -->check it out..^_^

-she finished her bachelors degree and currently working somewhere in Makati, Manila.


I saw her just last April, we actually met with Margie, we had dinner together and chitchat :D 
We had so much fun..^_^

Margie same with Esper is now living in Pasay, Manila and working somewhere in Makati. 

Mielyn is now in Italy. She decided to go abroad for her kid. I haven't seen her for a while now. All I know is that, she already have a little girl but not married though :)

Venus just resigned from her 5years job and decided to look for another environment. I was with her just last last week before she went back to Cebu for her exit interview.

And lastly, lastly because, I don't have a recent photo of Anita. I haven't seen her for a while now. She already have kids also, I mean kids..like 3 or 4 I'm not sure. Now she is living with her husband and the last time I saw her was 2 years ago I guess? and I wasn't able to take her a photo :D

Guess who? lol. that's me..with our circle, I'm the only one who is still studying :D Imagine that! lol. but anyway, soon..you'll see me marching and throwing that stupid graduation cap. lol ^_^

I really don't know what's with this series and why in the world my brother and my niece enjoyed watching this one?
This started few weeks ago..
Actually, I have known about this series from friends..they seemed to be addicted with the series and of course, I didn't care then, but when my brother started watching  this (few weeks ago)..it was like what the hell?! you're watching this one? this is stupid! lol. he even bought a dvd. So, I wondered, what really is with this movie?
haha! Even though it's funny, but lol..for me, it's just a waste of time :D I know, I know..I'm being close minded..but what can I do? I hate this one! but I'm watching it now..duh! like I have any other choice? I can see it from here.  that's it! hahahaha! this series is driving me nuts! BIGTIME!

I was with Janine yesterday, we watched Harry Potter at SM mall. While I was walking going through where I should take a ride, I decided to take photos on the way..I know it's a little bit weird, I mean, taking pictures every now and then but you know..I love it :) Even though people threw those "crazy" looks at me like I'm some kind of weirdo..hello?! as if it's a crime eh?! ^__^ anyway..here's the photos on the way to the mall..it's only about 15-30 mins ride but since the road is under construction right now, we went to another way which was kind of narrow so it took us about 45mins just to get to the mall.

The photos are actually in order but I'm not too sure if you can understand it clearly. The last pic at the right was our ride. He was actually a cleaver and very responsible driver, he's doesn't want to take over because he hates to be the caused of the traffic nor to add more chaos on the road and doesn't drive carelessly because he believed that in him was the life of his passengers. cool thought isn't it? not all driver do actually think about that :)
In the mall there was an event..an audition for small kids..talent show something..

these kids went on an audition, it's something about little Miss SM Cagayan de Oro whatever..(sorry)
..only the first two kids we're able to watch because we're running of time since Harry Potter movie was about to begin.
The little girl in pink was performing ballet, and the one wearing black was doing a belly dancing.
It was actually the second one who really did caught our attention, she dances gracefully and moved like an expert. Really awesome!


The following pic are those cos players that we chased around the mall just to take them photos. hahaha

It was very disappointing because only one among them who did really stop and smile just to for us to take her a photo-can you see her? the one holding a balloon? the rest of them walk so fast that I find it hard to take them individually. urgh! annoying! hahaha

Anyway, After chasing them, we hurriedly went to the cinema because we're afraid to miss the trailers. ^_____^ and here's the pic inside the cinema...(we sneak out the camera) hehehe ^_^

On the left of these pics were people waiting for jeepneys (including us). Can you notice it? no jeepney's visible..this is very unusual. usually, lots of jeepneys are waiting for passengers..this time, it's the contrary.
The last pic were people waiting for taxis. usually, the shoppers with huge bags of groceries :D

Last Friday our group prepared the "Garithomakaronatha" or Greek Style Shrimp Pasta. Its main ingredients are pasta (precooked), prawns, olive oil, tomato sauce, butter, mustard, brandy, parsley, grated carrots, onions and garlic.

*prawns (peeled off and washed with running water

*tomato sauce

*onions (finely chopped)

*garlic (sliced)

*pinch of salt

(Blair) In an olive oil sauteed each side of the prawns. Later then he added the butter, spices, brandy (when it completely evaporated), grated carrots, mustard and mustard, parsley then is optional. Anyway, this is not the exact procedure, I just familiarized the way how we actually did it. 

tada! these are the products we made. the spaghetti was ours (group 1). The other foods were from the other groups, there was Carbonara and the rest I can't remember anymore. (sorry..^_^)

It tasteless actually, I mean, all you can taste was it's sourness and a little bit of alcohol, so with the rest of the products. oh! wait! there was this yummy chicken but unfortunately I wasn't able to take a picture of it. I went outside when they presented it and when I went back-it's gone! my classmates were really something, aren't they? :D know why? because we spent a lot for that and the only way we can get it back is to eat it all. By then, we won't feel bad about our money. hehe ^_^

these pics were taken during the preparation. still, same as the last time we had that laboratory, my classmates can't really get enough of their faces in every photographs. Whenever they sense that someone's taking them a photo they'll pause for a while and "SMILE" ..^_______________^

-that's why as much as possible, anytime, anywhere I would bring Digital Camera with me to take those happy moments. In this way, we can freeze our time and get back into it whenever we want to. Isn't that great?! ^___^

Today was one hell of day! We had Greek Cuisine in our Culinary Arts and our group prepared the Greek style pasta with shrimp kind of food. Among the others, we finished it first. After all, what we did was just to precooked the pasta then put it on that sauteed shrimp sauce with brandy. Anyway, as much as I wanted to share with you our activity earlier today, well, I changed my mind (like somebody cares? hahaha!)..maybe I'll share it tomorrow :)
As for now, I will share to you what happened on my way home..
Right after our class today, I went to my aunt's office and since it's not that far away from school, I decided to just walk over there, partly to save money and take photos of  the river, the bridge and the houses under the bridge. When I was at the end of the bridge, just maybe a 5meters away from the gate where my aunt's office is, a group of kids are asking me to take them a photo. Actually, there are 4 of them, but only 3 who really did approached me and said "Ate, please take a picture of us", then I smiled and said, "sure"..then..tada!

Did you ever had that experience that you felt so exhausted from your everyday activity and one smile from a strangers take that all away? Well! I did. These kids definitely turned my day into something bright even if it's twilight already. Their genuine smiles brings laughter to my eyes. Kids should be taken care of. Unlike in movies (even in real life), they're being used as a tool to earn, to do something illegal, and most often, they're being kidnapped by some freaky gangs and make them beg for money anywhere in the city. They then become beggars, vendors, snatchers and drug addicts. Some grew up and ended up in prison due to countless of crimes, unable to experience the life that is given to them, a life that should be enjoyed, live, appreciate, love and cherish and not to be hated and cursed.

This is my everyday life for like about 9years now; walk a minute or two towards the corner where I ride a jeepney to school and after I take off, I had to walk again (maybe the same distance from our house to where I ride a jeepney) to reach the gate of the school. But anyway, it's an everyday routine, so I'm used to it. ^_^
Let me walk you through my School then..^_^

-on the right of the image is an apartment, a Chinese-Filipino business man who have a store somewhere near in the market. They also owned that two white cars. Often times, I can hear a sound of a piano and I saw a girl with a tutor I assumed because she's always at the back of the girl handling a stick, with all and blah blah blah..
I think there's a room also where they stocked they're goods for their store because twice or thrice a month there's a delivery car with all those goods and men carrying those items towards the house. Oh! one more thing, I think their workers stayed with them also. I don't know. lol

See that car parked? just beside that is a store (sari-sari store), also owned by another Asian, I think they're Chinese also. You know what's my favorite in that store? their "SALAD". it's so yummy! it's actually my neighbor/friend's favorite too.Ü
